Gov DeSantis - COVID Mandate Pushback
It is well known to the American public where the Governor of Florida, DeSantis, stands in reference to COVID and the vaccine mandate. This opposing force applies tenfold to the vaccine mandate ordering business with 100 employees or more to force their employees to receive a vaccine or be submitted to weekly COVID tests.
DeSantis overall stance can be summarized in the following statement ,“At the end of the day, we want people to be able to make informed decisions for themselves, but we’ve got to stop bossing people around”... “We’ve got to stop the coercion. We’ve got to stop trying to browbeat people.” (MSN).
Overall, DeSantis is against a mandate which would force individuals to receive a vaccine against their will. Additionally a mandate that would and has fined business if they choose to reject the mandate. These fines would and have began at "$5,000 per violation to $10,000 for small business and $50,000 for business with over 100 workers" (MSN).
Articles in reference to this business related mandate were obtained and read from both left and right leaning news sources, to include smaller media and independent sources. Overall, each source gave adequate information over the matter with little to barely any personal opinion or implementation. This serves and impacts the public in a positive manner as they are currently receiving fair information over the stance of Gov. DeSantis and the state of Florida. A stance that has trickled down and motivated Governors from other States, as well as the people, to do the same or desire the results seen from Florida.

Florida to consider withdrawing from OSHA oversight due to vaccine mandate | Fox Business
Hey Marcos! It's hard to determine whether there should be a COVID vaccine mandate or not. I believe that DeSantis did a lot of research before making an informed decision. I agree that everyone should get the vaccine, but they should be able to make that choice on their own and there should not be a vaccine mandate. Most people have done their own research before deciding whether it's the right time to get the vaccine or not and I think they should have that choice. Eventually the majority of the population will have it, but everyone should be able to get it when they are ready, great post!
